Check it out folks:

Suz - is that an acceptable title? I was trying for some consistency.

A generic term like "Pirates" isn't too confusing with "LUGNET" in front of it,
but something like "Aquazone" or "Harry Potter" is going to look pretty strange
like that.

Some random thoughts...  I'd try it without the word "LUGNET" there, and
possibly also without the word "Pirates"...(leaving just "Spotlight") or
see how it looks with the label "In the Spotlight"...

My first pass was just "Spotlight". I can see a difference between the
news home page and the lower level pages. Once you get to them, it's a
little more clear what's going on.

I went with "What is hot in lugnet.trains" for now...
http://news.lugnet.com/trains/ (it's below the trains poster which I think
stays on top. Not sure how far down to move it though, our sidebar has a lot
of stuff in it... for right now it's second on the list)

Hmm, I like "What's hot in lugnet..." also. I think I'll wait for
another opinion or two before changing it.

Frank

I liked all the suggestions so I lumped them all together- 'LUGNET
Spotlight-What’s hot in .build.mecha'
http://news.lugnet.com/build/mecha/
I'll be trimming back the sidebar this weekend when I overhaul it again. I
guess I was successful in creating the longest sidebar, right, Lar? ;)

(...) I guess! Was this a contest? :-) I'm torn between having lots of stuff because it's neat and it's one stop shopping, and not having so much that it's overwhelming and stuff gets lost. Difficult balance. lugnet.trains may be too far in the (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.admin.curators)

Let me tell you, for someone who is only, kinda, sorta, interested in MECH/MECHA the resources are just enough for me to think, "Huh how neat! I should try that as practice/experiment". -- Thanx~ Nicole; "Now with Masters in Psychology Analytical (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.admin.curators)
