One thing worth a quick check inside is the directory news/art/control If the articles were cancelled maliciously from the outside by forgery (somehow) of cancel-request messages from <news@lugnet.com>, this directory would contain a log of (...) (1 month ago, 9-Jun-26, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.admin.nntp)
