| I have been using Outlook and Outlook Express quite a long time now (current version is 4.72.3110.5) and I haven't find such problems you have described. The only thing it won't regocnize is when it will start with <URL:> such as <URL:(URL). (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.robotics)

| I finally registered my own URL for my website. What used to be (URL) is now (URL) URLs should work for a good while... | Actually, I stand corrected. And it has been fixed, in Outlook 2000. (My fault for replying to email while on antihistamines). OL 2000 terminates the URL as soon as it hits an invalid character. However, it does not recognize the URL: as part of a (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.robotics)

| Todd, I think that there may be a spurious "/" at the end of the URL for this week's CSotW. Clicking on the URL on the page summons forth Yahoo!'s infuriating "Whoops!" page, whereas the same link sans "/" at the end gets the desired page, which is (...)
