Re: Internationalization of the part library?

(...) Thanks! Looking forward to it! I sort of don't follow the subtlety of the issue with lookup (GNU gettext?), but it seems to me from the outside that the part number ought to be the lookup key rather than one version of the part name. At least, (...) (20 years ago, 1-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Fairmont Speeder, small track powed motorcar

(...) What happens when you run it off 9V as you do? Is the capacitor getting overvoltage? Would this have an effect on long term durability? I had been thinking of playing iwth these to try to make a people mover using Racers track but without much (...) (20 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.parts, FTX)

Re: Internationalization of the part library?

(...) Personally, I agree. That said, if the LSC decided that internationalization is not a goal then some consideration of how to proceed would be needed, but I would tend to want to follow their recommendation, it's their charter to own decisions (...)   Re: LSC - request for defining a WORKING connection database standard

(...) While a connection database could be helpful, I just cant help thinking that a relationship/constrain system like solidworks and Pro/Engineer use could acheive a lot more. It could certainly be a start, then simplified - so the CAD (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jul-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.lcd, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

(...) Aren't these both instances of "Lego String" just with different terminators?? Another instance would be the hose reel itself and termination at the other end into any of a number of different hooks. Those all terminate with a knotted loop (...)   Re: Pics from ToyFair 2005

(...) Search back in LUGNET, this has been discussed at some length. Briefly, LEGO is using flesh for figs based on real people or on movie characters (which are played by real people) and retaining yellow for generic people. That's not a very good (...)
