Re: Points on the Back Corner of Instruction Booklets

(...) The only purpose I recall was that if you accumulated a really low number of points (say twenty-five or so) you could get a free membership to the Lego Builders Club. It was how I got my first membership all those years ago. The interesting (...) (20 years ago, 24-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: What about a LEGO TECHNIC tutorial

So, uh, how we all doing?

I'm in western Pennsylvania, where cases have not yet popped up in large numbers, but I have friends nationwide (and, to a lesser extent, worldwide), and many of them are in much worse situations than I find myself.   Re: LEGO Stores

(...) The LEGO stores are owned and operated via LEGO Brand Retail (LBR), a subgroub in TLG. The US stores are headquartered in Enfield. There is only one franchise, and that's in Dubai. There are 23 (soon to be 26--stores in MA, CA and OR coming) (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.lego)

Announcing new Lego website: The Art of Brick

There is a certain art to certain things. There is an art to painting, an art to cooking, yes, even an art to driving. But, did you know that there just might be an art to brick? No, I’m not talking about those heavy blocks that spiders like to hide (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.cad, lugnet.announce, lugnet.technic, lugnet.build)

Musings on an open-source Brickshelf replacement

Suppose, just for the sake of argument, that Brickshelf goes away or stops accepting new uploads. Further suppose that, as a community, we deem it wise to develop something that is decentralized open-source, so that our valued LEGO images and other (...)   Re: 10152 Update

(...) That's a fair assertion. Being somebody who collects sets to build them, I don't have the mindset that "limited quantities" = "collectible". Again, though, at the time that was written, that was accurate. (...) At the risk of belaboring a (...) (20 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Chain link fence/fence ideas.
