Re: New Train Cars and Locos

(...) Only if they produced a larger radius curve so that our 8-wide trains didn't look *completely* whacked... :-) JohnG, GMLTC (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org.wamaltc)

(...) John & James, Thanks much for the pointer and the explanation. This is great! Its exactly the info I was looking for. Thanks. Kim P.S. Why the follow up to .org? Wasn't this train building related? (24 years ago, 15-Dec-00, to lugnet.trains.org)

(...) Thanks Mike, You have a couple of daunting looking pictures you have up there :\ So how many 3033 tubs does it take you to do, say a 40"x60" module? Just the 22 brick high build-up, not all the structures & scenery on top of it? I'm trying to (...) (24 years ago, 15-Dec-00, to lugnet.trains)

  New colors?

Dear LEGO: I recently purchased your "Team Spirit" digital watch. I'd like to say that if you decide to come out with new brick colors, the new colors of watch links would make great additions to the lineup of colors that you sell now. For those who (...)   Re: Lego To Close Molding, Processing at Enfield, CT plant

(...) The last time I was in the factory, there was probably 75 - 80 moulding machines. There was also the decorating and assembling lines, along with the various packing lines. One thing this will do is make it a LOT more difficult for groups to (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

Re: End of 9V train line?!

(...) Man, you guys at the GMLTC must know someone. I remember when I was all excited about the DUPLO trains being a good sign and in would jump Mr. Neigh-Saying 8-Wide to spread doom and gloom, but even he changed his tune a week or two ago (sorry (...)   Re: Hypothetically Speaking...

(...) 8 wides will be more expensive. Even if height remains the same - and based on the 8-wides constructed so far within the GMLTC that's not necessarily the case - you're still expanding the footprint by 1.33 * 1.33 = 1.75 area increase, and (...) (24 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Hypothetically Speaking...

(...) I'd rather see GOOD 6-wide designs than BAD 8-wide designs. The recent LEGO trains (4559 & 4561) are just not very realistic trains. I think kids (and AFOLs) would rather have realistic looking trains. One of the issues is the North America (...) (24 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.trains)
