Re: 4400 available at US S@H (on backorder)

(...) This is great, I just ordered several (ok, several dozen)... As other people have pointed out, this is a somewhat strange mix of pieces in them. Lots of small quantities of pieces. This tub practically demands you buy several copies. This (...) (21 years ago, 31-Oct-03, to lugnet.market.shopping, FTX)

Re: How do I power a long track?

(...) The GMLTC has this problem in our 'small' (approximately 100 feet of track) loop, because our larger 8-wide trains are heavy and we really work the motors hard. Our solution? Add another speed regulator! We put one at each end of the dogbone, (...) (20 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Updated Container Stats (Was: 2003 LTC Container swap)

(...) I'm working on GMLTC containers now. I should be able to bring 25 of them to BrickFest, I can't wait to see how much Lego stuff I end up packing and carrying! (Does Lego show up on airport x-rays?? *grin*) But, since the GMLTC is an 8-wide (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains.org)

  Re: The Coolest Picture

(...) It's a standing joke in the GMLTC that none of us can figure out where Ross gets his building ability. We often ask his dad "Does his mother build LEGO stuff?"... *grin* This is probably my favorite Ross clever building trick: (URL) Using a (...) (21 years ago, 11-Dec-03, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: BF 2003 Container Swap

(...) Just a quick FYI from the GMLTC: I'll be bringing containers to trade, but since we are an 8-wide club (in fact I think we were the *first* 8-wide club), we would be perfectly happy receiving stickers in return. Thanks, and see you in a couple (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains.org)

What's the longest distance your train has run?

The GMLTC was in Moorhead, Minnesota for the 27th Annual (URL) Hjemkomst Festival> last weekend. We had a straight-line layout, they had us set up in a long hallway so we used six straight modules with a couple empty tables, and left two corner (...) (URL) Here's one of my 8-wide locos> But, I'd suggest just go with what works for you. If an 8-wide train doesn't work, don't run (...)   I need some 'modding' expertise

As many people know, the GMLTC is working on our largest project ever - a Lego version of the Plummer Building in Rochester, Minnesota. When we're done it should be about 7 feet tall, and use an estimated 50,000 bricks. Here's where I need some (...) (20 years ago, 21-Sep-04, to lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)
