  Re: End of Year Thoughts

Is Lego going in the right direction? I don't know. I like the Star Wars and Harry Potter themes. Seems like there will be no new Arctic stuff. Is Adventurers dead? Will we see more of LoM?; doubt it. I don't get Bionicle but I guess many people (...) (23 years ago, 29-Nov-01, to lugnet.general)

  FINAL SURGERY COMPLETED !!!

FINAL SURGERY COMPLETED !!! [ note: long ] Some of you may know, but I believe that most Lugnetter’s do not know, that I was involved in a major motor vehicle accident in December 2000. I have not felt the need to broadcast this information until (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.people, lugnet.org.us.lucny, lugnet.loc.us.ny) !!

  Rechargeable NXT battery DOA?

I ordered the rechargeable battery earlier this week and it arrived yesterday. It appears to be DOA as it does nothing when plugged in amd reads 0v with a multimeter. I am using a 9v regulator from a 9v train set which I have been told will work (...) (15 years ago, 27-Mar-10, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Re: 1981 German LEGO Train Poster

(...) Hi Tim, I remember to think: "wow - what a cool layout!" in 1982 when I first saw this. But then I realized this had not a single loop. Today I know this may in fact be realistically in a manner, that you do not have ovals in real life. But (...) (18 years ago, 12-Feb-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LDD - MOC Steam Engine inspired by Streamlined Hudson

(...) Well, I'm no train expert, I only started building train MOCs a little over a year ago, but I'll be happy to share my opinions. And the number one thing you should do, in my opinion, is visit (URL). Ben Fleskes, a Lugnet member, sells custom (...) (17 years ago, 20-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: The future of LDraw?

LDraw/LCad etc. are not nearly as dead as you think they are! The pioneering days are long gone, and the package of tools has entered the world of "mainstream software". People simply trust everything to work, and will only make themselves known (...) (15 years ago, 14-Mar-10, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: The future of LDraw?

My turn to respond: IMHO LDraw is certainly not dead. In fact here in the Netherlands it’s is alive and kicking. With me presenting it to the public at LEGOWORLD in Zwolle every October I think there are many users who have joined since 2002 when I (...) (15 years ago, 15-Mar-10, to lugnet.cad)

If you just want something that looks vaguely like an Orient Express but made from LEGO then you probably should just find pictures from movies and the (...)
