No, because dishwashers heat the water to way past 40 degrees C. Which will inevitably melt your LEGO bricks and probably stuff up your dishwasher. Washing machines that have a cold water cycle and a pillowcase half-full of LEGO are probably your (...) (20 years ago, 27-Nov-04, to lugnet.build)

I have never had a printed brick be damaged, even when soaking for several weeks (yea, sometimes I get a bucket of LEGO soaking and then run out of time (...) Peeron's inventory for this set is SO screwy, I can't trust it. It is listing 8x8 bricks, and teal 2x4s, that none of the 9 I've gotten have. It would be nice if the inventory ONLY listed the [standard] bricks from the set, as many people parting (...) (20 years ago, 4-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

I have a method that works well for "dirty/greasy" used LEGO... Soak the bricks in a solution of hot water and dishwashing detergent. Use one table spoon of detergent to one gallon of hot water. The water should not be too hot! If it hurts your (...) (23 years ago, 28-Oct-01, to lugnet.general)
