What dimension should I use in the name? The maximum "bulge" in the dome (ie 8 x 12 x 10) or the base size (ie 6 x 8 x 10) (20 years ago, 16-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Robbie, Have you looked at the Star Wars LCAD Archive? (URL) not sure what the TIE Scout looks like but they have a lot of LCAD drawings of various TIE's I've never heard of. I hope this helps you.
