  Re: SSClagorpion - Compressor

(...) Thanks Eric, I have a progress report, boss.... ;^) I have completed two compressors. The first is basically a two large pump compressor driven by two RC racer's motors (very powerful). This compressor is implemented with one large piston and (...) (20 years ago, 31-Jul-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Measuring robot turn angle

(...) I have done this, although not with a differential. My solution used a rotation sensor on each axel, and good navigation can be done with that. Since you can guarantee that both axels turn the same amount, a single rotation sensor should be (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Personality test vs. Religion

But your wife is correct--the tool has no predictive power because its predictions are so (...) (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  RCX Firmware Speed

This is a follow up to many of the recent posts on the speed of Lego's RCX byte code interpreter. It's a long post but the salient items are in the first few paragraphs. The interpreter is very slow because of all the overhead required to execute a (...) (23 years ago, 10-Apr-02, to lugnet.robotics) !

  Pirate Game Rules Thoughts

At BricksWest, Steve and I had some discussions about the game rules. One thing Steve has been trying to come up with is a way to eliminate plotting moves since this slows down the game the most. The problem I would have with eliminating this is the (...) (23 years ago, 24-Feb-02, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Voltage Sensor

Hello Tom, (...) Yes. You need a low impedance output driving 0..5V into the RCX, thus overriding its internal pullup. (...) Actually, I should have written "resolution" instead of "accuracy". The 10..15V range spans 5V with 256 steps, giving you a (...) (22 years ago, 17-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Autonomous Robot

(...) Clever! ...Food for thought! The only snag I can see is that when the first laser is being acquired, both the tower and the robot have to spin. It might take a LOT of rotations for them both to happen to be pointing in the right direction for (...) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  sonar.c for the handyboard

Hello, I have a handyboard and 6500 series poloroid ultrasonic ranging system. I have downloaded the sonar.c programs used to drive the transducer for distance measurements. There appears to be a problem, or atleast I think there is, with it. The (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jul-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Excellent comments - let's keep a good dialog going. I am okay with ZNAP - I bought four sets for the sole purpose of building some sort of bridge.
