Re: When does Aero-Tube Hangar come out?

Thanks, Can you tell me if the tube transportation piece holds regular mini-figs as well as those mars figures? I want to use it in a futuristic town, and regular mini-figs would be much better.   Union Pacific GP-15 by Brian Stokes

(Brian Stokes is posting this message using Brad's computer) This is a GP-15 in the Union Pacific color scheme. You can find pictures on Brickshelf on the link below. (URL) was built around a month ago and took about 5 hours. A neat aspect of the (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jan-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

Re: Is there a way to reduce/repair scratches in clear parts?

I picked some of this up and it worked great! It is a bit pricey. It comes in 3 "flavors." - One for fixtures, one for metal, and another for fiberglass/plastic. They only had the plastic version in a large, 250ml can for about $10. It was easily (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jan-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: Droid Escape parts useful for Castle

I bought 8 copies of that set JUST for the white curved panels. I BRASSO'd them and used them for curved walls in a town building. (URL) ) I didn't think I'd use the gray ones, but I ended up slapping them on another wall. To me (more a town person (...) (24 years ago, 29-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

BRASSO is brass polish. That is the brand name. My bottle says it's made in Canada. This product is ideal for removing decals without damaging the bricks. You just have to scrub quite hard and for about 5 minutes for each piece. Nicholas Allan (...) (24 years ago, 29-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Re: Joining LUGOLA?

Hi Payton, We'd love to have you. My wife and I will be hosting the next meeting. We live in southern Orange County, about 1 hour's drive from you. Because we cover the whole LA area, the meeting places float around all over the place, and sometimes (...) (24 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.lugola)

  Re: My Galactic Challenge Model

It looks great Brian, but I wish we could have gotten better pics. These were prints that we re-shot with my digital camera. Although the camera is great at shooting the original subjects, we really need a scanner for these older non-digital shots. (...) (24 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.starwars)

I couldn't find either of those on Olympus' web site and I've not seen them in the stores either. I have an Olympus D490 and I find it excellent for LEGO pictures. A key feature is a "macro" focus mode. This allows you to take really clear pictures (...) (24 years ago, 3-Feb-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

Ah - I see that you are right. Unfortunately, I bought this set from someone else, who bought it from yet another person. It was that third person that applied the sticker impromperly. I noticed that a portion of the sticker was off the piece, so I tried to gently pull that part up. Luckily, it came right up without any damage whatsoever.
