Original vs. Copy: Printed Lego Items

I received a 1964 Danish catalog from a European collector recently. Since I got if for free (after buying some other items), I thought it was great. The one sheet (two sided) catalog is in such great condition, I was wondering if it wasn't a (...) (19 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Introducing the LEGO Affiliate Program

(...) I'm surprised Eric Harshbarger's name is not on that list. He's done some magnificent work with his Lego furniture, mosaic's and sculptures. He's created a whole new genre of Lego ideas. He did make it out of last summer's hurricane season, (...) (19 years ago, 14-May-05, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Here's something that would really set the AFOL community into an uproar.... what if the affiliates were able to get bricks (or parts) in bulk that were not available to the general AFOL community. Although I doubt this would happen. (Akin to (...) (19 years ago, 15-May-05, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

  The Oldest Lego Sets

For anyone who has ever wondered what the earliest Lego sets looked like before the advent of the modern Lego, here is a pic that shows the 4 oldest Lego set styles. (...) Hi Dave, looks like others beat me to the punch.... But speaking of grooves, Lego tiles, which first came into production in late 1965, came without grooves in the tile parts packs #510 (1965), and #471 (1966-68). Trying to date a specific (...) (19 years ago, 27-May-05, to lugnet.general)

The Dark Ages of Lego in the USA

Just like many AFOL's/ALE's, USA Lego went thru the dark ages. Interestingly enough, it was around the same time I went thru my own dark ages. The years were the 1970's. In the beginning of the 1970's USA Lego sales were licensed to the Samsonite (...) (19 years ago, 30-May-05, to lugnet.general) !!
