I believe the reason for the zip code inquiry is to target areas for direct mail flyers and newspaper advertisement... if you only have 5% of your customers coming from a large remote area do you want to spend as much putting a suppliment in their (...) I doubt that the pulley gear with the rubber insert is meant for slipping. I think it's rather the opposite - provide a firm grip on an axle so that it won't slip sideways.
