I went on Friday to a little out of the way store that I haven't been to in about 12 years, and found my first 8858 Rebel Wrecker. It was listed at $65, but the store was having a 20% off sale on LEGO Technics, so I was very happy, not to mention (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-00, to lugnet.technic)

I have dealt with Torsten quite a lot in the past. I think he is probably referring to his ability to get the mainland Europe train sets at quite a good price. He was also able to source an advent calendar and Milka sets for me - although I doubt (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Some more comments on the page: The small shock absorbers now (since 1998, eg. 8417) come in two versions. The older, softer version, and the newer, harder version. The newer version can be identified by the smaller number of coil windings in the (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-00, to lugnet.technic)
