By all means, get the upgrade. Even if you never touch the software, the extra pieces (including the coveted, oft-referenced clutch gear--the white thing) are very much worth having. You'll also have two versions of the test mat, and two (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

We got the Scout too now (with all its additional features lurking under its plastic). Now we just have to think up a crazy contraption using the RCX, Scout and Micro-Scout interactively. So to David Baum (three cheers!) keep up the good work with (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)
