Re: Roboarm from Dave Baum's super book

(...) How did you guys do your instructions? I figured you would have used MLCad/LDLite/L3P/POVRay or some combination of those, but it didn't look like it to me.. (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Conversation at TRU overheard

(...) Not all but some. I've seen some parents think that their kid is just going to be crushed if they can't make the set on the box especially when the age range says that they can't. So they nudge their kid toward another set, never thinking that (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Destroyer Droid in new S@H catalog

(...) Whoops, looked at my copy again. I goofed. It is the **JANUARY** 2000 catalog. If you ask for spring you'll get nothing but blank stares (which can be confusing over a phone!) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Conversation at TRU overheard

(...) I answer speaking of toys in general, not just sets... Yes and no. When my kids were much younger, of the age where they could choke on things or get trapped in them or strangled, etc., I gave much more credence to age ranges, especially the (...)   USB->Serial converters and IR Tower

Hi! Anyone else tried connecting to the IR tower via a USB -> Serial converter? I've been trying with an Entrega U1S9 (USB->9 pin serial) because my primary robotics machine is a Sony Vaio laptop and I HATE having to hook up the port expander just (...)   Re: Big Lego Christmas

(...) DANG! So, buddy ol pal, when you having me over? :) Its not more than a 20-30 minute drive for me... Congratulations!! (...) Heh, well nice strategy. I only made off with the Mindstorms RIS and the SW Snowspeeder (which I already have). Ah (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Dan Strikes Again...

(...) The lead wheels are still the very small train wheels and the reason being is they need to articulate under the cylinder boxes. I would like to use the regular size wheels for proper scale, but I would also like bigger drivers too! As said (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)
