  Re: Tilt

(...) "Newer"? I've got a pinball machine from 1972 that uses both the plumb bob and the ball on track methods to detect tilt. --- Chris Osborn FozzTexx Enterprises 707 226 7629 - Voice 2136 Coronado Ave. 707 581 1797 - Fax Napa, CA 94559 (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: e-commerce (was Technic shuttle etc)

(...) Oh well. You snooze you lose, I guess. And the fact remains - they were THERE in the European marketplace to be bought before BB got hold of them. I don't care if Martians bought them all - if they called first and had the money to pay for (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.market.shopping)

Apparently there's enough force--if it's turning fast enough--to stretch out the tire to the point where it can slide off the hub. The MindStorms motors (...)   Re: e-commerce (was Technic shuttle etc)

(...) I would have to agree with you both...Lugnet is not a "pissing contest". It's supposed to be a great place to get information and meet new people that have the same interests; i.e. LEGO...Isn't that what Lugnet was intended for in the first (...)

(25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.it)

If the task is to create a gyro, and not necessarily a heavy flywheel, any of the large diameter wheels should work. Actually, if you have one, the old Expert Builder ((URL) giant wheels are quite heavy, and exhibit very definite gyroscopic/flywheel (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Any ideas on how to do this with Technic?
