(...) It's not an *entirely* new development for 1999--1997's Outback Racer (6550) has a yellow non-marled 3x4 low-slope hood/glacis plate (It could be armored, really!), with hub gaps. However, I've never seen one in 2x3. I thought the smoothie (...) (25 years ago, 22-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

Yikes, I hate the back button.... Anyway, I just wanted to add that the ZB near Potomac Mills Mall has around 40 of these sets also, and I figure that they will treat them like they treated the 5571's last year. Not officially, but I have seen them on eBay. I have been mulling over whether I should gouge some hapless collector by releasing one of the set of sets I got to that venue... but there are so many cool parts in them that it will truly be tough. (...) (25 years ago, 22-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)
