  this is another strange auction

(followups to lugnet.market.auction) This auction: (URL) - 240 Pounds..." contains a picture of a Lego setup that I believe was recently posted (as a URL) here on Lugnet. But the photograph has been adjusted to appear painting- like. It's a very (...) (25 years ago, 31-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.general)

  Re: fast firmware downloader

I hate to admit it, but the version of Turbo C++ I just pulled out is 1.00. I departed from the Borland compiler shortly after acquiring this version and did not keep up with advances. Would I gain any advantages by finding a later version, or (...) (25 years ago, 31-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos, lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

Re: McDonald's Happy Meals Sets -- modified parts

(...) The 3x4x1 low slopes with town wheel wells on the underside are smooth. Some of them are printed, some aren't. Whether this qualifies as a traditional "slope" is questionable, but I tend to think that it does. Steve (25 years ago, 31-Oct-99, to lugnet.promo)

  Re: My first DAT file!

(...) I saw a double step in one part where only one was needed. Also, when you add the yellow round 1x1 plates to the back side, you should use a rotation step where you spin the model around 180 degrees. Although it doesn't show when you go (...) (25 years ago, 31-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LDRAW...MLCAD....Help?

The problem was not in the program, but in my computer - have it all worked out. My Autoexec.bat and bios were 'broken', but now are 'fixed'. I also found (or my wife the non Lego enthusiast found while searching Lego on the web - for Christmas (...) (25 years ago, 31-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad)

Re: More scale questions (Was: Scale of Lego)

(...) Don't think so, if the engines were coming from the UK. Standard gauge there is 4' 8 1/2" and as far as I know has always been. Kevin (25 years ago, 31-Oct-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: Fair Lego Seller's site?

I like the "Fair Lego Sellers" idea, and the idea of an information site. I think that listing individual *people* as "Bad sellers" on such a site is asking for trouble, whether from eBay or from the individuals listed. Even if they couldn't sue for (...)   lugnet.build.minifig? (Was: Re: New newsgroup ... lugnet.minfig?)

(...) There is perhaps more scope than you think: Q. "I want some less-generic pirates - any ideas?" A. "Use some of the Ninja torso's and Wild West heads, etc etc" While that example is very generalised by virtue of the fact that I just made it up, (...)
