"Buying Lego" FAQ to link auctions to

I have been thinking for a while of writing a FAQ on "how to buy Lego" which I could link to from my eBay and other auctions. This would include things like S@H, Ets Dya and Busy Bee, reading RTL and Lugnet, how to tell a good deal when you see one (...) (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.theory, lugnet.faq)

(...) Looks pretty cool. My only suggestion is that you put the 1x3 plates *under* the door instead of over them so that when the doors are open a minifig can get in (and so that the fig can actually sit inside) --Bram (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Steve Bliss wrote in message <38022bfd.352137473@...et.com>... (...) If you were sadistic (and confident) a thin-bladed saw could do the trick, then re-attach the two halves with 1/3 plates. I wouldn't try it because I value my hull sections too (...) (25 years ago, 11-Oct-99, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Yellow School Bus...

Hi Frank, I thought the same thing about those windows, there had to be a place for them somewhere in a regular LEGO town. I kept saving them up until I thought about the school. The real schools had brick arches that had a similar shape as the (...) (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

  S@H-4544 (Was:Re: FA(eBay): blue hoppers)

Tom, Well, don't worry too much, I bought 2 of them a few weeks ago, because it is one of the sets I always wanted, but never bought until now! People who wanted to buy it had plenty of chances, and now it is gone. I bought it simply because someone (...) (25 years ago, 11-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

I'm sure we'll hear the same about the 4544s at S@H - I just bought out the last of them this morning. Then again, that was only 6 of them.
