(...) I think those account for about a half-dozen of the files. Since they aren't inlined & cleaned up yet. And they're currently multi-colortural. :) Steve (27 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) I haven't bought it yet, but the wheels definitely appear to be the same. It actually doesn't look like the good deal that Model Team sets usually are. I mean look at the 5542 helicopter -- 483 pieces for $44, less than 10 cents per piece. The (...) (27 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.modelteam)

HAS ANY ONE USED MOTORS RATED OVER 1 AMP WITH THE HANDY BOARD? IF SO, HOW DID YOU GO ABOUT INTERFACING WITH THE HB? DID ANYONE USE THE L293 D/B, OR THE SNJ74 ? IS IT A BAD IDEA TO PIGGY-BACK MORE THAN TWO OF THESE CHIPS IN PARALLEL, SAY 3 OR 4? THIS (...) (27 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

 | | Suggestions for developers of LCAD programs
|

The creation of new LEGO CAD programs based on the LDraw DAT format is great, but I continue to use LEdit for a number of reasons. So, here are a few suggestions for Mike and Gary that could make me switch (these are all characteristics of LEdit: 1) (...) (27 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

I'm not sure I agree.... The Scout has functionality built in that isn't well expressed in this release. If I were cynical, I might think that Lego was positioning a new toy for this Christmas, and a software update for next ;>) The Scout will (...) (27 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

CORRECTION!!! They are indeed 4.5v OOOPS! At closer inspection the 4.5v is molded in to the light brick! That's what happens when a 9v'er plays with older trains! SteveB (...) (27 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

(...) If I'm not dreaming, either 8250 or 8277 (or both) have several (well, if it was 8250, it oculd be just a couple) 1x1 grey tiles. Of course those are pretty large sets just to get a few small bits from. (27 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Good review. You were right on in your assessment of the mechanicals and building of the set--it's not at all complicated mechanically, but it shows the builder a *lot* of different building techniques. Steve (27 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.reviews)
