Re: 4x2ReVu: 7306 Golden Staff Guardians

(...) Well, yeah, but I was referring specifically to just the modular motorcycles. Of the three body styles, it makes perfect sense for the dirtbike rider to sit high on the frame, but the road hog rider should be sitting really low to the ground. (...)   Re: LPub Error Message?

(...) ... (...) ... (...) I just re-read your post, and see you're saying you're getting BFC error messages, not BFC errors. I'm not sure how these would be visible from LPub (I haven't run LPub recently), but I would expect that they would rule out (...) (14 years ago, 21-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: iPad and Android

(...) Could you team up with Ace Kim from fbtb.net who has already created an app? (URL) That would save the $100 cost, sell for $.99 or even $1.99? Just a thought. I'd buy one. Chris Eyerly (14 years ago, 21-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LPub Error Message?

(...) LDView doesn't have a cache. I'm pretty sure LPub has image caches, though. You might investigate that. Also, when you say "BFC errors", I assuming you're talking about places where the BFC winding is wrong, which results in improper rendering (...) (14 years ago, 21-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  4x2ReVu: 7307 Flying Mummy Attack

Ed Stauffer was only too happy to provide some assistance to professor Netwiddle when asked to fly supplies for the professor's latest Tunisian expedition. But on a short flight between dig sites, a sudden, jarring crash hits his right wing, sending (...) (14 years ago, 21-Dec-10, to lugnet.reviews, FTX)

Re: 4x2ReVu: 7306 Golden Staff Guardians

(...) you know, i noticed the 'higher' issue when standing a minifig next to the two different two-wheeled styles. which is more realistic? for one thing, the older two-wheeler looks more like a scooter than a motorcycle. on the subject, i think (...)   Re: 4x2ReVu: 7306 Golden Staff Guardians

(...) Catwoman is indeed the first minifig who got the chance to ride one of the new modular motorcycles. That city fairing has since been released in black, white, and orange. The dirtbike first appeared in dark-bley in the Indiana Jones motorcycle (...) (14 years ago, 21-Dec-10, to lugnet.reviews, FTX)

  Re: LPub Error Message?

(...) Okay, now I'm really baffled. I'm trying to generate a BoM for a model that contains six different clone elements. I've gone through and deleted all BFC statements from each part and from each clone sub-part and clone primitive, and I'm still (...) (14 years ago, 21-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

My latest colour iteration of the 948 go-cart

The elders amongst you may recall that I have a slight... appreciation for the 948 go-cart. It was, after all, the very first Technic set I received as a kid (circa 1977) and it was the biggest set I got after The Big Melt (tm). Here's some pics of (...)   Re: iPad and Android

(...) It would be an LDraw viewer for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch. If I wrote it, it would be based on LDView (and presumably be called LDView), but would have a simplified UI appropriate to the iOS touch interface. It would be available on the Apple App (...)   Re: iPad and Android

(...) Okay, explain to me (in layman terms) what you are talking about here. If it is anything remotely related to ldraw and LEGO, hell, I'd pay the .99 to support the effort! JOHN (14 years ago, 20-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: iPad and Android

(...) I'd be interested, but I should warn you that I'm unsure about the ability of an LDraw viewer to sell 145 copies at $.99 each, which is how many would have to sell to recoup the $100. (If I was highly confident of the market, I'd do it all (...) (14 years ago, 20-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad)

(...) good point. i didn't describe the adventurer fig, he's got dark brown pants, suspenders and a tanktop t-shirt. he's unshaven, got a smirk and the t-shirt has a big old brown stain on the front (it's nicely detailed two-sided torso (...) (...) I'd be willing to front the iOS developer fee in partnership with someone, but I really don't want to have to learn how to program... Anyone interested? We could charge a buck for the finished app to get back the developer fee... Paul (14 years ago, 18-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad)

I rather like the minifig primarily because he's perfect for use as the standard slob who does nothing but sits around the house watching TV & sipping beer :) (14 years ago, 18-Dec-10, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Much faster stl2dat

(...) I notice one of your proposed enhancements is to use Delaunay triangulation. I would recommend Jonathan Richard Shewchuk's triangle library, I used it on txt2dat and it works great. Theres a link at (URL) (14 years ago, 18-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: iPad and Android

(...) It is true that you can download and install the iOS SDK with a free Apple developer account, so you can in theory develop an app without paying any money. However, in order to get the app onto a non-jailbroken iOS device, you have to pay the (...) (14 years ago, 17-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad)
