  Re: RCX Currnet Rating?

Yes it is slow, if you count 1/2 a second slow, but not horrible. The big problem comes with control. Finding neutral again. NQC to the rescue. I find its better for this application than the RIS software. More open for creating servo control loops. (...) (25 years ago, 6-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: RCX Currnet Rating?

You mean you use the red motor/switch combination as a sort of 'electronic' fuse? Oh, right. While I'm typing I suddenly see what you mean. You use an external power supply for the motors. Clever. Isn't the switching a little slow using the (...) (25 years ago, 5-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

I finally got around to installing M-Peedy on my home computer, but I can't get the splitter part to work. It says it has created 3 .dat files, but the files are nowhere to be find (even using W95's find files on the whole drive). The .mpd maker (...) (25 years ago, 5-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)

Very nice! Is there anywhere I could find a picture of the slope brick(s?) in question? I don't know how they look. I would probably prefer an inlined mock-up than a substitute. /Tore (...) (25 years ago, 5-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: I just finished a makeover of my site....

I did a 256 gif export using Photoshop 5.5, and then did 15% lossy compression, and cut the colors down to 16. The files turned out to be 2-4 k gif files, download time cut down to a third of previous value!. It still looks pretty nice too. Pat J (...) (25 years ago, 5-Sep-99, to lugnet.publish)
