Re: Power Functions infra-red RC protocol released!

(...) Dick Swan's replacement RCX firmware also does not support directly manipulating the IR led and it doesn't support microsecond timing control. Both of these features would be required in order to send the IR messages to a Power Function or R/C (...)   Re: Base plate thickness?

(...) Baseplates are exactly the right thickness, such that if they are resting on studs, their studs are exactly 1 plate higher. So I guess that makes them 1 plate minus the height of a stud 8?) ROSCO (17 years ago, 4-Feb-08, to lugnet.general)

  Base plate thickness?

Hi all, I have this hankering to know the thickness of a baseplate. Not a regular plate, but a baseplate. I found the FAQ page with dimensions of bricks and plates and studs ( www.lugnet.com/~330/...dimensions ) but cannot seem to find out how thick (...) (17 years ago, 4-Feb-08, to lugnet.general)

can LPUB PLI BEGIN ... sections be nested?

Can LPUB PLI BEGIN sections be nested? I did not have this problem until I started using lsynthcp version 3.0 (which I probably got directly from Kevin). This version of LSynth automatically inserts LPUB parts list directives to substitute the (...) (17 years ago, 4-Feb-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Power Functions infra-red RC protocol released!

(...) I doubt that's possible - a bytecode program just can't run fast enough to do the timing for the IR commands, on either brick. The NXT can only manage it because it sends them over a slow comms link to a HiTechnic IRLink sensor, then that (...) (...) I'm going to have to disagree. As a long time MLCad user and a recent Mac convert (Nov 2007), I feel that while Bricksmith is a very good program, it has some very definite drawbacks that makes it difficult to use.   Re: The Blue, the Red or the Green?

(...) They all look nice, but I think the blue is the coolest - it gives the best contrast to all three mechs. The red tends to subdue the red mech, and the grey fades a bit against the green.
