  Re: Brick events in 2008?

If we're going to list them all, NWBrickcon DOES have a date set, and (considering I included Brickvention) we can add LEGOWorld....   AFOL History Project

At the behest of CSF members I have sought to create a repository of events in which I had a few minutes to burn tonight and so I whipped up something quickly.   Re: Has Lego begun producing "war toys"?

(...) If I recall, TLG renounced the "we do not make weapons" philisophy a few years ago, or something to that effect (most notably, prior to the Batman sets). There's a TLG press release about it somewhere (don't have time to find it right now). As (...) (17 years ago, 24-Jan-08, to lugnet.general)

  Re: BrickfestAnywhere 2008?

Steve, you beat me to it--I was making a list with dates, but you posted first--so I'll just integrate my stuff with your post. Jan 25-27, 2008: Brickvention 2008 (Melbourne, Australia) (URL) 17-19,2008: FIRST championships (Atlanta, GA) (URL) (...) (17 years ago, 24-Jan-08, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: Long Span Suspension Bridge?

(...) Dave- If you want your truss construction to actually support the bridge, you should convert your trapezoids into triangles (i.e., break them up by adding verticals in the middle). (Actually, the way many of us do this still makes trapezoids, (...) (17 years ago, 24-Jan-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: LEGO Star Wars Anniversary Set - Help Decide

Here's my idea: A playset re-creation of the Death Star trench battle from Episode IV. I'd love to see two minifig X-wings (Luke and Wedge), with Vader's Tie Fighter, and a semi-built up trench (read--LOTS of er..new..gray), perhaps with a turret or (...)   Re: Long Span Suspension Bridge?

(...) Bruce- You are quite right, but my error is in studs, not feet. (I had an in-the-back-of-my-mi...uite-right feeling even as I wrote the post(s). I think the problem was that I knew that each single tower section was 192 studs long but in the (...) (17 years ago, 24-Jan-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
