Re: Compatibility between the nxt and the RIS 2.0

There's also a light sensor in the RIS 2.0 kit that can be used for color detection. Not very reliable and highly dependent of the level of ambient light, but rudimentarily it works. You could also use the LEGO camera that comes with the Vision (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jul-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  MOCpages, now a Brickshelf alternative

Hi, everyone... With the looming shut-down of Brickshelf, I would like to offer (URL) MOCpages> as a safe alternative for everyone to continue posting their LEGO creations. In light of this, MOCpages now offers free image hosting. Of course, you can (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jul-07, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.general, lugnet.announce.mocpages, FTX) !!

Re: Official LEGO storage boxes? For more than a hundred bucks each?!

(...) Yeah, not buying that guesstimate, on either count. Wood in large volume is a lot more expensive than a small amount of plastic, and for shipping purposes, those will either eat up a huge amount of volume (if they're preassembled), or weigh an (...)   Re: Official LEGO storage boxes? For more than a hundred bucks each?!

(...) What's so unusual about it? The Billund LEGOLAND park still reportedly sells the same wooden letter blocks that have been made by The LEGO Company since before they got into plastics. (...) I might eventually buy the table and stool, just for (...) (17 years ago, 15-Jul-07, to lugnet.storage, FTX)

Re: Official LEGO storage boxes? For more than a hundred bucks each?!

(...) Yup. Mostly they all look pretty cool (particularly the ones that actually have studs on top for stacking purposes), but at those prices I will have to pass. (...) They aren't. Not really. Have you priced furniture recently? I've been looking (...) (17 years ago, 15-Jul-07, to lugnet.storage)

Re: Brickshelf and the AFOL community

(...) It took me a few weeks from first hearing the name to figure it out, but it's a trademarkable spelling of the second syllable of the word "image". Not pronounced quite the same, but clearly the source of the word. (17 years ago, 16-Jul-07, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Won't someone please think of the dead people? (Was: Brickshelf back up)

(...) Okay, so we've got two weeks to scour Brickshelf for stuff we want to save...assuming we're around to do so. I can recall at least three AFOLs who have passed on, and I'm sure there are others. It'd be really cool if their photos could be (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jul-07, to lugnet.general)

Re: 30% off at Myer [Was: countdown to Target sales]

(...) According to tonights MX, it's 30% off all LEGO (and some other toys) and started down here today. Benjamin Whytcross (17 years ago, 17-Jul-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

30% off at Myer [Was: countdown to Target sales]

(...) Thanks for that, Ben. I also just saw that Myer is having a 3-day toy sale with 30% off Lego. But while the Myer website has a catalogue, there are no toys listed in it, so I am not sure if that is 30% off all Lego or just specific sets. Kerry (17 years ago, 17-Jul-07, to lugnet.loc.au)
