  Chicago Bears logo mosaic

Using the (URL) PicToBrick> program, I have made a (URL) studs-out mosaic> of the Chicago Bears NFL logo.   press button to return to pbLua-Interpreter

Hi Ralph, times ago, you have added the function to power off the NXT by pressing the orange button... But: what about implementing a function to break every running code and return back to interpreter ? It is very useful for debugging and (...) (19 years ago, 19-May-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

What size do you build your five-wide containers?

Hi all, As a recent convertee to five-wide containers I'm really curious what dimensions other people working with that width use. At present I'm using a 5x12 footprint (or larger multiples of six for larger containers), a main height of 5 bricks (...) (19 years ago, 19-May-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LDD Model of GG-1 Electric Locomotive - Advice Requested

(...) Bruce Chamberlain postulated that the problem is due to one of the 3-axle trucks being *pushed* through the curve rather than pulled. I suspect that a rubber band between the two 3-axle trucks would help - I will try that sometime. --Bill. (19 years ago, 19-May-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad.ldd, FTX)

Re: NXT Programming with C Question

(...) Hi there, Thanks for venturing those reasons. I had been thinking that with the release of the NXT firmware that there may be options to compile code that worked directly with the firmware. Cheers (19 years ago, 19-May-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt.nxthacking)

Re: NXT Programming with C Question

(...) Hi Thanks for the fast response, I think I'll have a look at the pbLua firmware. What I am working towards is a method of running Haskell programs on the NXT by converting to C bytecodes first. (19 years ago, 19-May-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt.nxthacking)

Re: NXT Programming with C Question

(...) There's no reason you can't compile straight ANSI C and run it on the NXT.   NXT Programming with C Question

Hi there: I've been trying to find a method of coding the NXT using C, however the existing languages available, such as RobotC, or NBC/NXC etc all seem to be C-like languages and not ANSI C. This seems to be the trend, but does anyone know why (...) (19 years ago, 19-May-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt.nxthacking)

Re: FRED- flashing rear end device

(...) Solution: don't put the light on the end. Put the light interior to the container, and pipe it to the end using a fiber-optic piece.
