(...) Thanks Brendan, I always enjoy reading your updates. Or looking at the pictures anyway ;) Noticed a typo in Acts 15:6 - tesing -> testing. Regards ROSCO (18 years ago, 19-Mar-07, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

(...) Ah, that's a logical explanation. I just looked in the manual.txt that came with Anton's part library and it does state that it considers a POV-Ray unit 1 millimeter. If one (URL) LDraw unit> is equal to 0.4 mm, then the conversion probably is (...) (18 years ago, 19-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

(...) Hmmm. It would appear that using the Potrace API and the Triangle API would do almost all the difficult work for software of this sort. I might look into restarting the project although I'm not sure how far I could get with it. Of course if (...) (18 years ago, 19-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

With a rewrite in a compiled language and using a decent triangulation (such as the one Ross uses) and vectorisation algorithm I suspect it could be made to work (...) (Moved to lugnet.cad.ray.) (...) I think Anton's library isn't in LDraw units. Since the camera placement is in LDraw units, it won't work right. If you know the conversion factor, you can probably multiply the camera location by that and have it (...) (18 years ago, 19-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)
