Re: Power Functions Element Pics (inc Plugs)

Hi Rob, (...) I can't give too many details at the moment, but there WILL be a compatibility between both systems, built in the extension cords. Philo (19 years ago, 5-Mar-07, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  8889 Technic Truck

The 8889 Technic Ideas book has four pages dedicated to a six-wheeled truck, which appears to be built largely from a combination of 8859 and 8860. Unfortunately it fails to give instructions, and all the pictures are from one side, leaving much of (...) (19 years ago, 5-Mar-07, to lugnet.technic) !!

  MOC: Kedleston Hall

Kedleston Hall is a classical 18th century mansion in Derbyshire, UK. I've modelled it in LEGO, and you can see the results here: (URL) front is largely accurate, excepting the lack of sculpture and the fact that I've compressed the staircase so (...) (...) OK, I'm claiming retardism on my part for this next question: I just don't see the compatibility between PF and 9V, can you elaborate? -Rob www.brickmodder.net (19 years ago, 5-Mar-07, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Re: Interesting Article About Train hobby....

(...) It's a pity, too, because we retrofitted our Duplo Thomas et al when they first came out with 9 volt motors, and kids at train shows go bonkers for them! I remember talking to Brad Justus about TLG pursuing a license from (back then) Britt (...) (19 years ago, 5-Mar-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Part Authors: opinions sought on T-Junctions

(...) T-junctions are a quality issue in part files. I don't think they should be strictly forbidden (that is, having T-junctions is not a reason to hold a part file from official release). Generally, I wouldn't even say that a part with T-junctions (...) (19 years ago, 5-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: Part Authors: opinions sought on T-Junctions

(...) Heh, I think I found the (URL) ASCII art>. I coulda sworn it made it into a FAQ somewhere though. Oh well. Have fun, Don (19 years ago, 5-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: Need (working) program to generate instruction pictures

(...) cockpit is drawn with a stipple function that's buggy in many ATI drivers. And the ledit text (toolbar?) is still drawn in the front buffer. The latest source code in CVS is patched for the toolbar problem on some radeon cards because it was (...) (19 years ago, 5-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Re: Interesting Article About Train hobby....

(...) When I was very young I loved a battery-operated train with plastic track because you could make up layouts at random. This particular one wasn't as sophisticated as the Duplo train, but the track was cheap. Kind of like a soft plastic version (...) (19 years ago, 5-Mar-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

The cubic structural evolution project in Australia

(URL) The cubic structural evolution project 2004 is a spectacular installation that invites visitors to participate in the construction of a cityscape using thousands of pieces of Lego.
