I played around with sensors and wires, and came up with a way to use the touch sensor as a switch. See my post at lugnet.cad.dat.ideas (URL). (...) That obviously depends on what type of physical design is used for the switch. Some switches are not capable of bouncing the way you describe because there is no impact or acceleration during contact (example: slide switches that move leaf (...) (25 years ago, 25-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Here a touch sensor is used as a switch. See my post at lugnet.robotics for more details. Electric plates of the same color belong to the same wire. The green plate is the input. I've seen a ROBOLAB video where someone had made a bot which could climb glass doors with suction cups and pneumatics, and Fudd has got his stair climber... but has anyone made a robot that can climb a pole of some sort? i.e. straight up? I have (...) (25 years ago, 25-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)
