Re: Unit LNE of the dinochrome brigade (Was: Rock Crawling)

(...) Ha! Methinks you underestimate the talents (not to mention obsession) of the other folks in this event <grin>. Seriously, thanks for the kind words, and I'm very happy with it, but now the rest of you know yet another way to try to do it. Go (...)   Re: Unit LNE of the dinochrome brigade (Was: Rock Crawling)

(...) well, in all honesty I shamelessly implemented a solution I had already known about: PackBot by iRobot. I won't remotely claim the idea originated with me, as it didn't. I was inspired by the "real world" here. That said, I'd not run across (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

(...) Thank you both Matthias & Philo (and others!). give them an inch indeed... first, I really feel i need to apologize for *not* CADing this up. I've tried to CAD stuff, but the combination of my chosen platform (Mac) coupled with where I like (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

  Re: Spawning threads in NBC

(...) Unfortunately, there really isn't any way to implement a mechanism for stopping a thread from another thread (without firmware modifications). John Hansen (19 years ago, 29-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Hail to the Chief!

Seems that James Mathis and I were thinking along similar lines this past week. I, too, designed some streamliner cars of my own using the LEGO Factory parts palette, although I modeled mine on the "Metroliner" paint scheme rather than for the Super (...) Brian, your rock crawler is quite interesting to me because you've rediscovered the design of a real-world reconnaissance robot: (URL) designer is related to my boss in some manner that I can't recall, but he was up at our office last summer showing (...)   Re: Micro Scale Notre Dame Cathedral

Arthur, Very nice work, I like how you used some non-obvious pieces for the various windows! I'm not sure I'm sold yet on the mixing of grey and bley, but you've done it better than I've seen it done before. Thanks for sharing! Magnus (19 years ago, 29-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Ambassador Cycle 5 - Applications Open

It’s been another great Ambassador session but its time for us to begin Cycle 5 of the program.   Re: YG 3415 of the Royal Orient

(...) And it looks as if you nailed many of the details. Fabulous. On this MOC, due to the various colors, the details stand out much more and are more apparent. (...) Excellent.   Re: Micro Scale Notre Dame Cathedral

(...) Very nice. Especially pleasing to me is the mixing of new and old gray. I do it a very often and just love the effect. So many stone type buildings have different hues to them and I think the mixture of the two grays ads realism. Excellent. (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.microscale)

  Re: Ciao a tutti!

(...) Lo so! Infatti uso spesso i Technic assieme ai bricks normali per costruire macchinari vari o strutture, tipo ponti o gru. A volte costuisco modelli esclusivamente technic anche se in genere sono delle prove che smonto subito. (19 years ago, 29-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  FW: Another Challenge. Performance Comparison

Dick, 2 questions: 1) Regarding the benchmark code used for performance analysis. How about something which will require intense sensor feedback? How about simple alignment code?
