  Re: ED-209

(...) Remember, Spielberg's JP wasn't all about CGI (though I'll forget the first time I saw the wide shot of the brachs at the lake, or the stampeding Gallimimus scene). He used puppets and also autoerotic dinos as well;-) JOHN (19 years ago, 22-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Duplicating problem in MPD rendering

(...) Hi Lars, Brian sent me the model earlier, and the problem turned out to be spaces in the names of some of the individual .ldr files in the .mpd file. After removing the spaces, the model worked out fine. Thanks, David (19 years ago, 22-Jan-07, to lugnet.cad)

Re: How long will train 9v motors last?

(...) Wall timers are a good simple idea - the sort with lots of little levers to turn the power on and off every fifteen minutes. I made my trains stop and start a few times every minute though. Not only does it give the motors an easy ride, it (...) (19 years ago, 22-Jan-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: How long will train 9v motors last?

(...) This is definitely the biggest factor. I've had a motor overheat and cut out after just half a day under a heavy load. Once that happens, it tends to happen again more quickly for the same motor. I've never killed one outright though. I've run (...) (19 years ago, 22-Jan-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: NXT software -- my view

(...) c'mon Chris - stop crying for a 1963 language and move to a more modern 1972 language (or at least a reasonable facsimile of it) (URL) is a simple sample to drive forward then back. IF you can use mindscript this syntax should be manageable: (...) (19 years ago, 22-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Latest capship

(...) Very nice. I'm normally a minifig-scale kinda guy, but this ship is a lovely piece of work. Has a real "don't mess with me" feel to it. (19 years ago, 22-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: lego 4956 - euro 46.90

(...) L'ho visto anch'io, la mia dolce metà me lo ha regalato :) E io mi sono comprato il 4953, giusto per tenermi su. Per info il 4953 costa 17.90 euro Saluti (19 years ago, 22-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Re: NXC News

Someone sent me a link today to what I guess is one of the first existing tutorials for NXC, at least the first one in German (please correct me if I'm wrong): (URL) if this here allegedly is an "American forum" (HOOOTS!), it might be of interest (...)
