  Re: Bridging Sydney

(...) Awesome Ross... cool project! Spotlit. Nice to see the bridge will live again, and that so many other ppl will get a chance to see just what can be built out of Lego. Hope you enjoy the "live" building process. Have a great time with it. Janey (...) (20 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.loc.au)

The Historic Houses Trust of Australia will be presenting an exhibition at the Sydney Museum from 16 December 2006 until 29 April 2007, to mark the 75th anniversary of the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.   Re: BrickJournal 5 is out!

(...) You really need to give your team credit - they sorta took me in on the first day and before I knew it, I was an unofficial team member. It was a lot of fun to experience the World Festival with them, as they and I were both first-timers at (...) (20 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.publish.brickjournal, FTX)

  Re: BrickJournal 5 is out!

(...) Ralph, Good to hear from you and good idea - I had considered doing that a couple of issue ago, but I really should revisit fire engines and fire stations. BrickJournal will be as good as the best of the community:-) - and there's no end to (...) (20 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.publish.brickjournal, FTX)

  Re: BrickJournal 5 is out!

(...) That's how I found him - I saw his work on Brickshelf and searched around online until I found his account on 1000-steine...but his link was in German. My inquiry, wasn't taken very serioously at that point, so I didn't get a reply. About two (...) (20 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.publish.brickjournal, FTX)

  Re: BrickJournal 5 is out!

(...) Thanks for the excellent article! The photo credit will be placed in the print edition to be sent to Lulu.com. I'm really happy with the articles I am getting from overseas - one goal for me is to show the entire AFOL community. Your input (...) (20 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.publish.brickjournal, FTX)

  Re: BrickJournal 5 is out!

(...) You're welcome! Credit needs to be given to Geof Gray, who wrote the article and Jim Foulds, who took some of the photos in the article I took a couple also and had notes but promptly quit when my jaw hit the floor repeatedly during the tour!   Re: Brooklyn's Engine 226

  Re: Speaking of Canadian

(...) Sorry. I didn't mean to start a debate. I thought this was black & white. I didn't think there was a grey area. If both are incorrect, is there a 'correct'? Steve (20 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Pyramid of Khafre

(...) Thank you for your comments. A Lego model of the Pyramid representing it soon after completion would probably consist almost entirely of white slopes with a red layer at the bottom (according to one Egyptologist). The very tip might be yellow (...) (20 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: Pyramid of Khafre

(...) Thanks for the comments. I would strongly recommend that you make the trip to 2007 NMRA. Are you a member of a Lego LTC? If not, I am sure we could work in some of your buildings into our display! -Jim (20 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  BOGO Free @ Lego Store

Found during my lunch break at the Lego store, BOGO free for Lego Factory (LF001-LF031) sets. These are bagged pieces priced from $1.99 up to $9.99 which came from various sets. The LF013 caught my eye since it contained a lot of tan pieces which as (...) (20 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Speaking of Canadian

(...) Neither is correct. Both are equally incorrect. And it doesn't matter to anybody except those who think that 'Lego' is the only correct way to say it. (20 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Pyramid of Khafre

Wow, excellent, Jim! A stunning likeness. The capstones just at the top gives it a very authentic look. And the ruins at the bottom give it increased presence. The inner passage construction is impressive too. For comparison, it would be nice to see (...) (20 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)
