Re: Conversation w/ a LEGO Rep

Yeah, well, 50% off is no great deal FOR YOU. Me, I live in an area that stuff almost NEVER goes on sale past 20%, because it sells out before it can hit any lower IF they had any in stock to begin with. I got my first deep discount sets in AGES (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: The Ruthlessness of Lego was (Re: Spare Parts Service - How it works)

(...) From what I understand by reading this thread, it looks like it's too late in NZ. I think we should try to find out if this is going to happen in *other* locales and try to prevent it there. (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: r/c servos

(...) Let's say a 0.7 ms pulse results in a rotation of 0 degrees. Let's say a 2.0 ms pulse results in a rotation of 180 degrees. If all you had were 0.7 ms pulses and 2.0 ms pulses, you'd be able to choose either 0 degrees or 180 degrees, resulting (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: r/c servos and firmware

(...) Almost exactly how I'd do it. The problem is what if OCIB must be set to a small value, and the FRT has already passed this value when the OCIA handler sets up OCIB in step 3? This problem is solvable. If the total interval is closer to 1 ms, (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

CLSotW banners (was: Re: [ldraw.org] Update)

(...) Yup, got it -- it's in my inbox. I usually update the CLSotW banners page on Sunday at the same time as updating the CLSotW itself, but since you wrote "I'll have a 40x400 banner for my main site soon," and yours was the only submission that (...)   Using RCX with Lego Trains

I just picked up the Lego "Railway Express" set (#4561) last night. It comes with a "Toy Transformer" electrical plug (adaptor). The label on the plug says (North American version): Input: 120 VAC 60 Hz 0.12 A Output: 12 VAC 7 VA Would this work as (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Lego in the Midlands

You're probably not missing anything yet :-) There are a couple of people in the Warwickshire area, but I don't think anyone's got organised in the UK yet. We're getting there, though. The Scottish & Southern Legofests show that the level of (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
