Hi It been about 3 maybe 4 years since my last written message on Lugnet. During that time around late 2004. I started to use MLCAD to see if fit possible to design & build a scaled down model of a real life prototype locomotive. I went for a design (...)   Re: [MOC] Fire Station, Fire Engine and Train Engine

Nice job on the Station. Lots of detail, and nice furnishings inside. The Fire Truck is nice as well, looks like a set that LEGO themselves may put out. Tom D www.stlegofd.com (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: [MOC] Fire Station, Fire Engine and Train Engine

(...) Thanks so much for the advice and compliments. I really appreciate it. Good call on the fire engine. That's why I only let Joe drive it. Everyone else damages the bricks. Of course, it doesn't even fit all the way in. Oops, measure twice build (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Managing Memory

I've got 8 kids working on NXT who have been experiencing "not enough memory". So, I did a little experimenting. Every new program takes a minimum of 6K. Every Move Block takes 0.5K Imagine that! 500 bytes for a simple move block. I haven't measured (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Re: Holiday Train now available in USA

I just find it amazing what people were trying to sell this set for when it first came to the light. I remember a person auctioning the set off for over $500. Boy the person who won that auction really over paid. Here is another idea on how to save (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-06, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Thanks for making this post, Marc. I thought that one of the other LA's would have posted this news on LUGNET already, but I guess I am first. So, to quote John...   Re: Technic Claw Machine

(...) A working machine! Excellent! I really like it when a model actually can do something. And it also reminds me of one of the earliest Technic models I had (still have it, the 856) and built nearly 30 yars ago. Yellow is excellent for making (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-06, to lugnet.technic)
