Re: BayLTC @ Great Train Expo, San Jose

(...) Hello, Jonathan- This version looks very close to (URL) Ross' riff> on James Mathis' design. History (URL) HERE>. JOHN (20 years ago, 27-Sep-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf.sj, lugnet.org.us.baylug, FTX)

Re: BayLTC @ Great Train Expo, San Jose

(...) I think it's a James Mathis design, built by Bruce Chamberlain. But I might have that mixed up with another trolley. If it is a Mathis then you can probably get the plans from him. (URL) (20 years ago, 27-Sep-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf.sj, lugnet.org.us.baylug)

Re: Announcing Advanced LEGO Lighting Systems

(...) Jordan, these look great. I've been making something similar for my own trains for awhile. Are yours constant output style? Or does the output vary with the voltage supply? It's funny, but this was something I pursued when I first got into (...) (20 years ago, 27-Sep-06, to lugnet.market.brickshops, lugnet.parts.custom)

Re: Photos from the event where three tons of lego brikcs where dumped in Oslo

(...) I know what you mean, I sometimes feel a bit intimidated myself by the sheer diversity of the system - it's not only a blessing. But I must say that some of the weird pieces in that selection of 3,000 variants have spawned fun projects. (...) (20 years ago, 27-Sep-06, to lugnet.events, lugnet.build)

  Re: Sheath idea

(...) That is a simple and great idea. The red horn could be used to colour coordinate with a fig with red in his outfit. And if they need to store it, they just need to attach it to their helmet. ;) Jude (20 years ago, 27-Sep-06, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: IR train base alternative

(...) Actually a typical bridge rectifier will drop ~1.4 volts in the supply. That's alot! About a 16% drop in voltage, and a 29% drop in overall power at the top end. I'm not sure what effect this would have on the control circuitry. Mat (20 years ago, 27-Sep-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.parts.custom, lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)
