  Re: The Corinthian

(...) Well, you can -technically- view the lower decks, if by view you mean look down and say 'oh look, you can see lower decks'. I plan on removing the top most deck and then adding details to the lower ones, and also extending the ship slightly so (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Canal Street

(...) Uh, are those hookers? :D Very nice work. I love the contouring of the dumptruck. And the use of 1x1 tiles on the corners of the yellow building to simulate shoddy/rotting brickwork is brilliant. Again, very nice work. (20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.town)

Re: funny article from the Philly show

(...) I love the mention of the Michiana club, which was unable to attend. We need a marketing department. ;D (20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Using Stone Colors in LDraw/MLCAD

(...) That's correct. The "next version" of L3P will support it, as far as I know, but it's impossible to say when that will be out. LDView does support it, and LDGLite might. However, the current L3P does support 12-bit dithered colors 24-bit color (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad.mlcad, lugnet.color)

Re: Mini-fig scale F-16 Fighting Falcon

(...) Hi Magnus, It wasn't my intention to start a contest on who builds the best figher. As you say, it is always about balancing a number of sometimes conflicting requirements. In many cases, if you want something to be really nicely shaped, (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Got my NXT on Wednesday

(...) Yeah, well,*I* am. There's already a Logical block that starts getting at this, but bit-wise opertations would be very nice to have sometimes. I agree, if we have arrays they should be arrays of anything (number, boolean, or string), but (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: Three metres long heavy beam transport

(...) Nathan, Thanks for the compliments. As I'm living in Europe, it's impossible to bring such models overseas. And I don't have any plans to visit the US in the near future. I keep it in the west part of Europe ;-) Best regards, Dennis (20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Construction Yard

Hi (...) These are definitely very impressive models! It must be a lot of fun digging, ripping, compacting and transporting with these earthmovers. What material do you use on your construction site? I guess it must be of very low density. Will you (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.technic)

  Re: Visiting the East Coast

Hello Shiri, Nice to hear from you, and congrats on graduating! The Wamalug dinner will be somewhere very close to a Metro stop, probably in Clarendon, very close to where BrickFest has been in the past. Hope to see you then! cheers Magnus (20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.people, lugnet.org.us.wamalug, FTX)

Re: Mini-fig scale F-16 Fighting Falcon

Hello, I can only echo sentiments there are some very nice fighter MOCs here and it's nice to see build.military get a little more activity of late. I used to build lots of fighter planes a lot as a teen, and while I don't think I ever approached (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Grossista

(20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Re: NXT powered by USB?

(...) no, it doesn't. The motors would require much more power than you can draw from there. Steve (20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  NXT powered by USB?

Does anyone know whether the NXT brick can use USB-supplied power rather than its own batteries while connected? It'd be nice during experimenting and hacking, but I'd guess it doesn't... (20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Canal Street

In addition to meeting lots of builders I admire and getting tons of inspiration to build, my trip to NMRA in Philly enabled me to pick-up the bricks I needed to complete this street on my layout.   LEGO Imagination Days

I am putting out the call for Denver AFOLs. I have just received notice that the TLC has requested our presence at the Kazoo and Company Toy Store for this event.   Re: Electric Compressor for Pneumatic Engines

(...) Tried it. You are right, it does produce a lot of air, but without any pressure, which seems to be essential for pneumatic engine. (20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Three metres long heavy beam transport

(...) I remember seeing a model like that in the video clip from when you were interviewed on Dutch TV. That is amazing! It is even better to see it again. Are you going to bring any of your models to BrickFest this year or any year in the future? (20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: thoughts on gbc module reliability

(...) If I understand what you mean, yes, you can make an arrangement of modules that satisfys the GBC spec input/output as a whol, even though they don't individually. That's fine (like Rafe's "supermodule", for instance). But then the individual (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics)
