Re: Automatic download of unofficial parts in LDView

(...) I can definitely see where you're coming from, and there's certainly a danger that having a viewer transparently support unofficial parts will encourage their use without being included inside the MPD file. Having said that, I see a whole lot (...) (20 years ago, 14-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)

Re: Automatic download of unofficial parts in LDView

(...) They'd definitely go into a special directory. (Right now in my development code that directory is u_parts in the ldraw dir. It would probably become "Unofficial Parts", or something similar, since LDView isn't going to work on a system that (...) (20 years ago, 14-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Jambalya!!! (and FOTW)

(...) Well, this was talked a bit about at the dinner, and here's the two sides of the issue, at least from my view: The idea of someone rummaging through your collection is not attractive to many people. It's also logistically nuts. I'm not driving (...) (20 years ago, 14-May-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Copper's Callbox - Another Rum Rummers Set

Nice job. The figures are very well thought out and the car has a 'lego realism' of its own which is always my faviourite aspect of any MOC... Slightly off topic: I just noticed the snow blower in your BS gallery. What an excellent MOC! I'm (...) (20 years ago, 14-May-06, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Choc-O-Matic

I really like this! One of the best steam-punk models I've seen. The simplicity of service (with a boiler stuck off the side) is really great! Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (20 years ago, 14-May-06, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Set database Q

Not sure where this Q belongs but: Will the 'BAG 1', 'BAG 2', etc (bags of 1x1 bricks) sold by lego.com recently be added to the database anytime soon/at all? Thanks and God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (20 years ago, 14-May-06, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Classic-castle outage

No problem Bruce, it is good to see some cross community interaction again (I've bumped into CCers on Eurobricks and am reading Lugnet as we speak...). Each of our little niche cites should have an export day where we go bother other themes in (...) (20 years ago, 14-May-06, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: small fortified workshop

Nice work, The tower has a beautifully 'balanced' lean to it. The water wheel is well done (I always struggle with them) and the colours are nicely coordinated. Well done! God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (20 years ago, 14-May-06, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Automatic download of unofficial parts in LDView

(...) Hi Travis, I have to second Damien's view but I can think of a possible way around it. If you were to download the unofficial parts into a distinct directory (eg. in the ldview dir tree) and then call them from there it would allow an (...)   Re: Automatic download of unofficial parts in LDView

(...) Hi Travis, It's good to know you still think about adding even more features to LDView. At some feature-complete point many programmers prefer to switch to a newer thus more exiting development rather than cherrish and grow the baby. However, (...)
