Re: What is your favorite MOC of all time?

(...) Impossible to name one... Casper van Nimwegen's worker houses were a great inspiration for me to start building better and more detailled buildings : (URL) Yrizarry's Japanese Restaurant (URL) building techniques, the amount of details, just (...) (20 years ago, 4-Apr-06, to lugnet.general)

Re: 9V Train Motor Being Discontinued?

(...) Here's a reality check. The way LEGO makes train track is realy just wrong. It's way more expensive than it needs to be. Result - LEGO really can't afford to keep producing the existing 9v track and hope to remain profitable. The way I see it, (...) (20 years ago, 4-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: What is your favorite MOC of all time?

Years ago, maybe even on rec.toys.lego, there was a link to a european website of someone who had created a lot of traveling carnival rides, the kind that break down and travel on trucks. These things were amazing! More recently, I was amazed by (...) (20 years ago, 4-Apr-06, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 9v Train status report.

(...) Hrrmpph. If its like their other factories, it will be useless and overpriced. But if they allow fan designed sets by contest(like the micro stuff) and make the price point decent($40.00 for an engine, $25.00 for a large bit of rolling stock, (...)   Re: RX-78-2 Gundam

It is nicely done - great proportion and articulation. I have to comment on the beam saber, assuming you are trying to match the original design: The beam part should be trans-red or trans-orange, and the saber hilt should be the white pieces (...)   Re: 9V Train Motor Being Discontinued?

(...) Ok, I'll add my $0.02 to the pile. Summary: Lego trains are the reason there are now 100,000 Lego bricks in my Lego room upstairs. Details: When I was a little kid in Wisconsin in the 1970s, we had HO trains in the basement (didn't (...) (20 years ago, 4-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 9v Update (ILTCO's involvment)

No slight taken as I mentioned it was purely an internal LEGO thing, lack of proper passing of the torch. Hopefully we can all keep the 9v train line alive. SteveB (20 years ago, 4-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Better late than never, BrikWars 2005 is out of the gate

(...) Cool! It's about time. I'm really pleased with what you've done to Structures, Squads, and I heart the Unit Cards. Be sure to make those available for printing out at 100%. But NO tech levels? All weapons reduced to categories? Now those (...) (20 years ago, 4-Apr-06, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars, FTX)

  Re: 9v Update (ILTCO's involvment)

(...) Steve, For what its worth the Ambassadors were not trying to step on any toes. A question was possed and someone specifically asked for the Ambassadors help here on LUGNET. I took that call for help and used my resources to get permission to (...) (20 years ago, 4-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Hinge 1x2 top and SNOT

(...) This could create curves, arches or wheels by introducing angling on the sides. Using a technic plate at an angle, this is usable for stair steps. (20 years ago, 4-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.castle, FTX)
