I was having problem getting any comm working between the IR tower (on my Mac) and the RCX. I was using unused batteries, but the 9 volt in the IR tower was old enough that it was only providing 8.25 volts with no load. Replacing it with a brand new (...) I forgot to thank you, Richard. My local Tesco had 6 of the 1857s, so I took 4 of them. (950 pieces for £7.85 is such good value). I also noticed that they had 2 of the new road sign sets at £2.49 each, so I took those too. The blue Technic (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
