I doubt this pack is really all that rare, but one of my favorites is the 5071 Large Wheel Set. This set contains two red locomotive wheelsets of the style that comes in the 7750 12V Electric Steam Locomotive (and as far as I know, only in the (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

(...) The trick would be getting the gear ratio and timing right. You need to step the rotation speed down to 1 rotation every 24 hours, to equate to the sidereal motion. Greetings, I constructed a small box that housed the motor, the gearing, and the valve. It operated at a 9/1 gear ration. I attached a medium length lever off the last 24t gear to the stem of the air valve via a ball and socket, adjusted the timing (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)
