  Stickers in different colors

I found a sticker with black town car grille pattern in good condition, so I'm going to create this sticker in LDraw. This sticker has been used in a few different colors: * Black pattern on yellow surface (set 646) * Black pattern on red surface (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Why not smaller & more affordable for all?

(...) I work for a publisher here in NYC and one of the requirments from our Editor in Chief is 'keeping the sku count low' (number of different books we produce, not quantities of each title that we print). I'm not 100% sure this is the reasoning (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

  Re: Non Lego NMRA question

(...) This was, I think, a logging/lumber mill layout in HO. The first pic is of "camp cars" and the second, of the mill complex. I took them because I thought they might make interesting LEGO models. This layout, IIRC, was at the booth of a kit (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Hobby Show November

(...) I think, not speaking for Allan but I think he agrees, that the 'doors are wide open'--everyone's invited! No seriously, everyone. Just let either me or Allan know what you wanna bring and when you can be there, and we'll make the room. Last (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

Re: Now accepting custom track preorders for BrickFest

(...) I'm extremely impressed that Ondrew can do it without solder! Solder's always been my bane--I'm great with the Dremel and getting the pieces pretty accurate, but the soldering sometimes just ruins things, and then I have to spend my time with (...)   Non Lego NMRA question

Does anyone know what the story is with this layout? (URL) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Why not smaller & more affordable for all?

. (...) How much does it cost to have some more numbers?! Tim (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Factory sets

(...) OK, so 2 + 2 will give us 5... We have access to the .lxf files, we have access to the means of ordering the sets individually. Basically, what we'll need to do is rip out the individual models we would like and then order them as a single (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: MiG I-135

Thanks for the input tony! :-) (by the way I have started from the ground up on a new fighter and will show it once I get the greebles right.) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Why not smaller & more affordable for all?

(...) I'm 80% sure (guesswise) that the reason is "we don't have enough SKUs"... This seems to me a sign of internal breakage, LEGO needs to fix their systems so they can have more SKUs without it costing them a lot more.   Re: 2001

(...) I like it a lot! You just got a preview of an idea that's been cooking up in my brain, thanks to Nathan for doing it unknowingly :-) Terry (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Why not smaller & more affordable for all?

(...) I have to agree. While I'm delighted with the idea of the lego factory sets and keen on getting the models that are available, I'm just not liking the prices. I don't make a habit of buying $40, $70, & $130 sets. $15-20 sets are more my speed. (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Re: Why not smaller & more affordable for all? was Re: LEGO Factory sets

(...) Yes. I agree, and thats not including the fact that they are even more expensive in the UK. The price per piece might not be high but the sets are just too big. If each winner was an indiviudual set I might end up buying most of them over a (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

  Re: MUGS/M>ltc Website

(...) Good to see you've got a page up and running. I have one beef with it though, you have two Flash animations on every page which for a FlashBlocked Firefox user is quite distracting. Could these be replaced by an mng or gif animation rather (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

  MUGS/M>ltc Website

G'day all, I am very pleased and excited to announce that MUGS (the Melbourne Lego Users Group) and M>ltc (the Melbourne Lego Train Club) have a website! We can be found at (URL).   Re: Now accepting custom track preorders for BrickFest

Some of you may know this arrangement as "Koudys Phase II" and it's very versatile, with this set you can make any of the custom track (...) Hey Nate, This is great! One of the best vigs I've seen in a while. I love how you played with scales to give a forced perspective. Also, as with Jason, that application of R2 legs is inspired. Bruce (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.space, FTX)
