Re: Musings on an open-source Brickshelf replacement

(...) I definitely like the idea, although I would encourage it to be more generic than "lego-specific". Something that other online groups could use for sharing images, etc., if they so wanted. A couple issues I can think of: - If an owner of an (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jun-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: What about a LEGO TECHNIC tutorial

(...) Our lurking friend WIlly Tschager mentioned that he has a tutorial on rotations in MLCad. www.holly-wood.it/ml...on-en.html It looks good Willy! Thanks! Kevin (21 years ago, 7-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: More esoteric Lego history

(...) Hey Jim, Got some more info from a Danish collector from a nearby Danish town, on the event that almost changed Lego history... (and KKK was not behind the wheel)... ----- "I know Hanne died in a car crash. Some years ago I talked to a woman (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jun-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: What about a LEGO TECHNIC tutorial

(...) Admittedly, I have oft wished for the ability to create custom rotation buttons so I could make X,Y,Z buttons for 11.25,15,22.5,27.125,30 and 45 degree rotations to accomodate the rotation angles of various technic parts... But I still love (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad, FTX)

Re: Musings on an open-source Brickshelf replacement

Oh, that's freakish. I was just thinking that maybe it could work like iPodder or other aggregators. Where you'd upload a simple XML file that contains all the details of your content. Your pics would be hosted on your own site, but there could be a (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jun-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Musings on an open-source Brickshelf replacement

Suppose, just for the sake of argument, that Brickshelf goes away or stops accepting new uploads. Further suppose that, as a community, we deem it wise to develop something that is decentralized open-source, so that our valued LEGO images and other (...)   Re: What about a LEGO TECHNIC tutorial

(...) It oughtn't be too hard to do that. You just use the pin to define your normal vector and then just work backwards from the projection to work out the rotation matrix. I noticed today that MLCad already seems to have a routine to calculate (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad, FTX)

Re: BrickFest Hosts the “Build the Trust” Adult LEGO Enthusiast’s Model Contest

(...) I'm forwarding this response on behalf of The LEGO Group: "We want to thank the community for early response and enthusiasm. To ensure that all scales are represented we've amended the official rules so you can enter in either micro, (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jun-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: Amazon / Toys-R-Us holding a drawing for a R2-D2 Lego model
