Re: Help with redesigning a Boat Lock

(...) Another possibility is to not make the connection between the lift lines and the lifted frame rigid, but "slippable" (for instance, instead of using a single line, use a loop that attaches to the frame by wrapping around several fixed pulleys (...) (...) Okay...now that is just...wierd. Cool sculpture, though, and lots of sand green. :) -- Nathan Wells (21 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: Who wants Modules...

(...) Reading b/w the lines, I think what John is indeed saying is that he'd love some modules so he can set up his very own train layout in his house. Now we just have to get Chris fully on-side, and rtlToronto is a whole new cuppa tea... Dave K (21 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

I know the post above is about an auction, but it should probably be cross posted to .build.sculpture and .starwars to discuss the MOC itself. Here's more about Nathan's Liberty Jedi: (URL) Bruce (21 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

If the platform & boat are somewhat balanced, you could get away with one connection (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Who wants Modules...

After the problems that we seemed to have with leveling the layout, and the problems that imperfect modules can cause, I was thinking that perhaps we need some better quality modules... I am thinking of Asking Jen's father to help me make another (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: LEGOFan.org 2.0 is now online!

The next button is working the way it should now. Searching in the website directory (along with some other improvements) is currently being worked on and will be released once fully tested. Many thanks, Richard Development Lead - www.legofan.org (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Help with redesigning a Boat Lock

(...) Nice work!! (...) I would suggest trying string. Just have a loop of string in each corner, coordinated like you do with the screws. Or you can run it as 1 big loop, that would avoid the problem of slippage causing tilting. But you would (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Layout roads

Hello, LUCNY, I was poking around Brickshelf and came across this image in a recent show folder of yours: (URL) am currently in the process of setting up a town layout in my apartment and am trying to decide whether to use road plates or to use (...)
