  Re: Robotic simulators

(...) As hard as this was - it would only have to have been 'good enough' to fool the naked eye - and the robots themselves would (presumably) have been designed by you with only a handful of design variations. Trying to make a simulation that (...) (21 years ago, 26-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: CNN: Competition among LEGO mechanical monsters

(...) I was there! Well, not really at the FLL event, but at the FRC event. I'm part of Team 1675, the Ultimate Protection Squad, or UPS for short. As a rookie team, we were very busy, so I didn't ever see the competitions, but our pit was right (...) (21 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Cottage

Jeff: Wonderful little grill. Very inventive use of the white fence piece as the grate. Other great details are the hood using two low slope corner pieces and your use of four 1x2 dark gray tiles on each side to make it look like a tiled countertop. (...)   Moonbase corridor ideas

While building a new demo-module for the Moonbase page I started thinking about ground level module corridors. I wrote a big post about it in my blog.   Re: If you could wish for any single Lego element, what would it be?

(...) I guess I wouldn't see it as a waste of a wish if it came true. :) I would prefer new parts like a 3x3 (or a 1x5) not because they are particularly innovative, but rather because they would nicely blend in with the traditional 'standard' (...)   Re: New Fighter & car MOCs

(...) Wow! I'll take it as a high compliment comparing it to Classic Space! I was going to try to make it an updated open cockpit classic-space style, ship, & it ended up looking better with a canopy. The overall wedge shape & the flared engines in (...)   Re: What is it with you guys?

(...) What surprised me the most about the rtlToronto group (after meeting them) was how much they really seemed to know and respect each other. To see the interaction between some members you'd think they'd known each other since high school. And I (...) (21 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Quad-C Inline Chopper

My big question would be 'what were you smoking when you thought this up?'. Fantastic, Jeff! I love the motorbike. I was standing near Bryce during the first three hours of your competition, so I knew what he was cooking up. Yours is complete, and (...) Hey there, Jeff! As I mentioned the other day, I love this! It's HUGE, solid, and doesn't lack in detail. I'd love to see more pics/closeups if at all possible. -Dave (21 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) There is a saying that goes 'If you can't say anything nice, then say nothing at all'. Also, there is a saying, 'two steps forward, three steps back'. They both apply here. -Dave Johann LUGNET Member #524 (21 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Quad-C Inline Chopper

(...) sure did Jeff. This is uber cool. I don't think I'd want to ride it however. But then I don't care to ride much of the crapola that comes out of the OCC. What I really want to know is, while building the bike, how many things were thrown and (...) (21 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Robotic simulators

(...) The thing I hate about ODE is that it doesn't like you giving it real-world units. If I have a little kart model (such as the demo model that comes with ODE), and it has a mass of about 1 unit, with appropriate spring stiffnesses, etc, (...) (21 years ago, 26-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Ham - The Space Monkey

  Blog Update

Hi all I've decided that Helix posts were going to take up too much space on my main blog, so I've moved them over into a specialized Helix Sector blog: (URL) now, I'm just going to post the backlog of Action Emails (hopefully daily), but maybe in (...)   Re: 1/275 Scale Salamis Kai from Zeta Gundam

(...) Thanks! It is actually larger than I'd originally planned, but as I built more, that's the scale it wanted to be. It helped that I had a good diagram that matched up 2 studs per tick on my ruler. XD (...) That would be Dan's luxury liner (...) (21 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
