  Re: GPS Reality?

(...) With a cheap digital camera (say 800x600 resolution) with a 2.5meter ceiling (around 8') looking straight down through a typical 60 degree field of view lens, you're limited to an area about 2m wide by 1.5m wide...less if you are working on a (...)   Re: new moc: italian villa with aquarium pool

(...) many thanks for the vote of confidence, but i'm afraid it would be impossible. except for a few store mocs for our layouts, all other mocs are destroyed to make way for the latest. sadly, i have neither enough bricks nor space to "house" them (...)   Re: RCX and R/C combined

(...) That sounds really great. I think I'll try that, I even have all the parts!! I wanted to be able to sense all seven states, and I didn't really want to use a non-purist solution, so this system is perfect. Now if someone could design a (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: A Plethora of Vignettes

Hey Nelson, Great work all around! I especially like that barrel of rum and the shark tank. You really have to get out of my head, btw. I've got a Isaac Newton on my "to build" list--actually the tree idea in my "Autumn" vig was supposed to be for (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: A Plethora of Vignettes

Thanks "Vig Daddy". There is much here to enjoy. I especially like the egg and the barrel. Well done. I guess the rest of the pothole crew have gone to get the sandwiches. Peace and union rates, Professor Whateverly (URL) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Dusting off the LEGO blog

As some of you know, I've been running a LEGO blog over at bricksonthebrain.com for some time now. But late last year, I got overwhelmed with work and underwhelmed with the traffic, so I let it slide. But recently, I've been prompted by a number of (...)   Re[2]: GPS Reality?

Apologies for my rather inconsistent memory, it was Evolution Robotics rather than iRobot. Still a good idea though in my opinion. (URL) ever ordered a dev. kit? Allen.   What are little dogs made of?

My apologies if this has been previously discussed. In (URL) this fine MOC,> what part makes up the pedestal-dog's tail? While we're at it, what parts went into the non-pedestal-dog's head? A very cool MOC, IMO. Dave! (21 years ago, 11-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: RCX and R/C combined

(...) Another thought on this... I just remembered an earlier posting I made about sensing the output of the RC receiver with an RCX. It uses a micromotor and a rotation sensor as a "buffer" for the signal. In this way you can detect both forward & (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics)
