(...) Yeah, to use the backside of two 1x1 headlight bricks instead of the Technic brick 1x2 with two side holes might offer a better stiction connection to the "L" brack with 1/2-plate thickness. Thanks. later, James Mathis (21 years ago, 31-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

 | | Unable to download a mission
|
|
Hi, I am not able to download a mission into a spybot. If I use SpyboticsDiagnostics sw (SDsw), it is OK with a test mission. But if I use spybotics.exe (Ssw), the spybot is not detected. I watched the serial line. In case of SDsw, there is some (...) (21 years ago, 29-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

(...) Not seen that method before. Looks like it should be inset by 3/4 plate thickness. There are 1/2 plate inset mehods around (URL) or even less, but that one looks fairly rigid and doesn't clog up the interior. Jason Railton (21 years ago, 31-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) I used a similar thing for the first version of my WAP-5's grille once: (2 URLs) But I hadn't really delved into using it for a different door offset, obvious though it may be. However, I had been toying with the idea of using headlight bricks (...) (21 years ago, 31-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

 | | Less than 1/2-stud door inset

Here's an idea for a (URL) door "look" that is inset by less than 1/2-stud>. Sorry if this has been shown before, and I haven't noticed to credit the designer. later, James Mathis (21 years ago, 31-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

 | | Re: Type 5 lines, BFC relevance, and OpenGL

(...) Interesting... so this article is suggesting that type5 lines not be used at all, which may be possible for a model that is certain to be BFC compliant. Wheras the mechanism I was suggesting would work for any model, BFC compliant or not. The (...) (21 years ago, 31-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dev)
