Re: awakened from deep hypersleep I have returned with new MOCs

Hey, Very cool and innovative part usage, esp the Bionicle lid things and the rubberbandians. Bruce (21 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Minifig Chain Updated

(...) Good catch Purple Dave! Thanks for the update Steve. I'll have to adjust some of my LSynth information based on the new part sizes I guess. Kevin (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Hi Steve, (...) Your eyeballs are quite precise! I measured a link at 8 x 4.6 x 1.2mm, translating to 20 x 11.5 x 3 LDU... Philo (21 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  Rotating Gear Teeth

In MLCad, is there a way to rotate the gear teeth of the 24 tooth gear by employing the "Z" element toolbar commands? The "Z" rotation command rotates the teeth for 8, 16, and 40 tooth gears, but only the internal bar and four holes rotate inside (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: awakened from deep hypersleep I have returned with new MOCs

(...) Spotlighted for the alien work alone. These are classic guys that we all should use in our own work (and give credit to Patrick). -mark (21 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: O-Train

Great to hear about the successful test. The dynamic nature of trains is often overlooked. Ocationally there are great looking MOCs posted but don't always run well in the real world; backwards thru points and the like. Your close coupling design (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: BrickFest 2005

(...) Hay Bret, Thanks for the suggestions. I have met with the Expo Center and discussed our needs and what they could offer. It has not been ruled out as an option. Finding a venue with enough space is the challenging part. I spent Friday visiting (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: awakened from deep hypersleep I have returned with new MOCs

(...) Oh, wow. These have the same undefinable charm as the aliens encountered in the 1980 Legoland idea book (URL). Fantastic, Patrick! -Teddy (21 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Joe Vig's Twin Sisters

(...) But, are you sure those are Joe's (...) I was thinking that Joe's fondness for white headgear was the result of growing up around his siters on the Wild West Frontier. Brian Darrow (21 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Minifig Chain Updated

I just posted an update to the minifig chain (part 208c01.dat) to the Parts Tracker. The official file three problems: it was too long overall, there were too many links, and each link was too small. (URL) Compare: [LDrawPart 208c01:7] Current (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: awakened from deep hypersleep I have returned with new MOCs

(...) Welcome back! This is the stuff, man: (URL) The bigger aliens are cool too, but the various rubber band-headed guys are the best. That bionicle lid combination works really well. I can see why you reused the idea. The spiders are great... and (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: awakened from deep hypersleep I have returned with new MOCs

Hey Ptrick! Very Cool! I really like what you did with container lids!! (I'm going to have to incorporate that into some building some time soon.) (...) Older Robo Riders lid, right? (...) Nice work with the Bionicle Toa Metru and Toa Nuva lids! And (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: ISNS New Chicago

(...) I love the shape and the detailing. Your greebling is great. The shaping with plate panels covering the angled areas works beautifully. But you gotta work on photography. In fact, this is a massive step up from your previous stuff. It would be (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Stillsuits, anyone?

Okay, they're a little larger than the standard model, but (URL) this> is some pretty neat technology, and it's put to wonderful, humanitarian use. Dave! (21 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Joe Vig's Twin Sisters

(...) Snip I agree... that's one expensive vignette. But, are you sure those are Joe's sisters? Joe has brown hair. Maybe they're just older, or their own misadventures have turned their hair white! "Big Daddy" Nelson (21 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Joe Vig's Twin Sisters

(...) I think you've just set the bar pretty high as far as monetary worth for a single vignette. It might be cool if we made some kind of Joe Vig family reunion, where everybody has that face...and, of course, they're all getting into bizarre (...)
