  First LEGO 8 wide train

I have read many messages regarding that LEGO trains should be build 6 wide or 8 wide. We all know LEGO choose to create their trains 6 wide. 8 wide we have to design ourselves. But browsing through old LEGO ideabooks I found this picture of what I (...) (21 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

New Parts Drawings - Plates, Slope, Track Pieces

I wish TLC would make these parts. Seeing earlier discussions I think I'm not alone! I've attempted 3rd angle projection drawings, showing top, side and underside, despite not having a drawing package. Drawing these parts in Paint is eyestrain city! (...)   Re: Helicopter

(...) Hi Pierrick, that's nice work! And I'm glad I could provide a little inspiration. The weird thing is, that helicopter was the first MOC I built after my dark age too! I like how you control the swash plate (turntable) from below - the probably (...) (21 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: To the owner of the Train à Grande Vitesse...

(...) Thanks for the info. Do you have an email contact for him, or could you have him email me. I would like to talk TGV's with him. I have been working on a TGV myself for the last 7 years and would like to know more about his model. My TGV can be (...) (21 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: using PWM output to control Lego motors

(...) The signals output by the RC receiver will drive servos or RC motor speed controllers. The signal consists of a pulse of 1-2ms width in an 18ms cycle. For a servo, 1ms corresponds to 45 degrees turn one way, 1.5ms to centre and 2ms to 45 (...) (21 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

Sensor Resistance Readings and Circuit Descriptions

I've added a graph of RCX/Cybermaster sensor resistance vs raw reading to my brickshelf gallery: (URL) There are 3 lines on the graph, with the resistance values on a log axis. The blue plusses are the actual readings. The pink triangles are a first (...) (21 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

To the owner of the Train à Grande Vitesse...

Your lights are on. ;) Hello all, I came across this excellent model of the French TGV and wanted to know who the owner is. His/Her? Brickshelf name is Vroum. (URL) for any help. Dave GPLR (21 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: using PWM output to control Lego motors

Hi Joe, (...) are you sure this isn't for servos? (...) Yes, the RCX uses PWM for power control, in each 8ms period power is on for 0-8ms and off (disconnected) for the rest. (...) You need 9V and up to 500mA. (...) I have the impression that they (...) (21 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Helicopter

Just a few words from a newbie annoucing his first MOC : a (yellow) Technic Helicopter. As I said on (URL) MOCpages>, I had left my Legos from ten years now, and thanks to my kids, who are now asking me to play LEGO back, I have retrieved old Lego (...)
